Stand on the Roof of the World

Today, I found a photo album when I was going through my drawers. Looking through it, I revived scenes of Tibet in my mind.
Tibet, located in the southwest of China, is the highest region on earth and is known as the "roof of the world". In late September through early October of last year, I traveled to Tibet and spent more than half a month exploring the region from Lhasa to Mt. Everest. I had a wonderful time and can not explain how exited I was. I took a lot of photos to record my amazing journey.

The magnificent Potala Palace was built on Lhasa's highest point.

Mount Everest (as we call the Qomolangma) is the highest peak in the world with 8844.43 meters above sea level. It looks like a small hill? It is because of its standing on the shoulders of giants. The ground under my feet is Qingzang Plateau with the elevation of 5200 meters.

Planning a Vacation? How about Tibet! The area offers everything that a traveler would like to see: mountain resorts, lakes, rivers, canyons, glaciers, beaches, nature reserves, temples, castles, fortresses and so on.

Saving Our Environment--What do we do?

The Polar Bears Need Us: Climate change due to global warming is reducing the amount of pack ice in the Arctic, which polar bears depend on for survival.

It concerns not only palar bear but also human being. The leaders of Tuvalu—a tiny island country in the Pacific Ocean midway between Hawaii and Australia—have conceded defeat in their battle with the rising sea, announcing that they will abandon their homeland. Who is a next turn?

What do we do to save our environment? There are three things we can do:
1.Turn off light switches when we aren't in the room. Replace old bulbs with energy efficient ones.
2.We can walk short distances, which is good for our health as well as the environment. Use public transportation or organize a car pool.
3.Buy fresh instead of processed foods, which require more energy to produce, starting from extraction, manufacturing, transport and marketing.
